Welcome to Trigger PRO

Congratulations, and welcome to the Bilathera community. You're one of the first people working with bilateral leverage, and we're glad you're pioneering it with us.

This page has everything you need to get started. We keep adding to it, so tell us what helped, what didn't, and what you'd like to see next.

Let's get started.

3 · Fit it to your hands

Worn, not held

Most tools are something you grip. Trigger PRO is something you wear. Once the back hand support is set to your hand, you can slide your hand in and open your fingers, and it stays in place. The BHS holds it for you.

Set the BHS right and you can let go of the handle.

  1. Loosen the knob

Turn the adjustment knob on the side of the lever just enough to free the slide. Turn it a little more only if you also want to change the rotation. Don't unscrew it all the way: that takes the lever apart.

  2. Start from the base position

Slide the BHS all the way in, as close to the handle as it goes.

  3. Slide until your hand fits

Move the BHS away from the handle, one click at a time, until your hand slides in with the back of the hand resting snugly on the pad. The clicks mark each position.

  4. Rotate only if you need to

Smaller hands or specific techniques may need the BHS turned around the handle. Before locking, line up the matching teeth so they sit together.

  5. Take your hand out, then lock it

Remove your hand from the lever. Squeeze the mechanism together in one hand to hold the position, and tighten the knob with the other. Locking with your hand still inside almost always shifts the setting, and you end up working in an awkward position.

  6. Test it

Slide your hand in and open your fingers. If the lever stays put, it's set. Repeat on the other hand.

4 · Set the strap length

The strap is where the leverage comes from

The tension strap links your two hands into one system, so each lever braces against the other. That only works at the right length, so get this right before anything else. How the leverage works.

Too long

Slack strap

The strap stays loose, so each lever works on its own. The attachments can also tilt too far and pinch the skin.

Right

Taut when you press

Attachments sit where you want to work, the strap goes taut as you lean in, and both attachments stay put.

Too short

Angle too steep

The attachments tilt in too far and pinch the skin between them. Uncomfortable for the person you're working on.

  1. Place both attachments where you want to work.

  2. Adjust the length at the buckle until the strap is just taut with the attachments in place.

  3. Press. If the levers drift apart, shorten it. If the skin pinches between the attachments, lengthen it.

  4. Working a wider area, like either side of the upper back or the hips? Add the 30 cm extension in line with the strap.

5 · Choose an attachment

Start with two Anchors

Whatever set you have, start with the two Anchors: they're the broadest and gentlest, so they're the best way to learn the feel of leverage.

Standard set

Anchor + Silicone-Tip

Anchors to learn and for broad areas. Silicone-Tips once you're comfortable. Pair them, or use an Anchor as a still counter-support while a Silicone-Tip works.

With the PRO Attachments Bundle

Add Cone, Bar, Wedge, Fork

Smaller points, glides and different contact shapes. Get comfortable with the Anchors first, then explore. Each has its own page.

Each attachment fits on the bridge of the lever. See the PRO Attachments Bundle or every attachment.

6 · Your first session

The first 10 minutes

Try it on your own leg first. It's the fastest way to check your setup and feel what the tool does, before you work on someone else.

Set up on your thigh

Two Anchors on. Sit down and place them either side of the front of your thigh. Check the strap is taut when you press.

Let go of the grip

Almost everyone's first move is to squeeze the handles and twist. Let the BHS do that job: it holds each lever in place, so open your hands, drop your shoulders and relax your chest. If you're flexing your muscles, something's off. Just lean forward and let the tool do the heavy lifting.

Choose your pressure

Pressure is a dose you choose. Try each level in the same spot, for a few breaths each.

Light · fingertipsModerate · whole handLeveraged · lean into the BHS

The goal is control: choose a level, hold it steady, change it when you need to.

Two ways to work

Bracketing: both attachments work, one each side of the area. Anchoring: one attachment holds still as counter-support while the other works. Try both on your thigh, then on a partner's back or glutes: big muscles where you can really feel the leverage.

Check

Ask the person how it feels. Then ask yourself: how are your hands? Relaxed and open is right. If you're gripping, go back to step two.

7 · Safety

Before every session

  • Work on muscle. Never on bone, joints or the spine itself, the front of the neck, the back of the knee, the inside of the elbow, or the groin.
  • Don't use it on broken or irritated skin, bruises or a fresh injury.
  • If you or the person you're working on has a health condition, or isn't sure, ask a clinician first.

Stop at sharp pain, tingling or numbness. Ease off if they hold their breath or tense up.

8 · Care and storage

Keep it ready

  • After each session, wipe the attachments, handles and pads with alcohol or a disinfectant wipe. Use as little liquid as possible.
  • Hang it on the adhesive hanger so it's always ready to go.
  • We've put spare wear parts in the box (O-rings and silicone caps). When you need more, or a new strap, pad or attachment, you'll find them in Replacement parts.

Trigger PRO has a 2-year warranty against manufacturing defects.
